THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS look set to have one of their biggest stars back from injury after sealing a playoff spot.
The Chiefs picked up a narrow 19-17 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday at the Arrowhead.
Kansas City won on the final play after recovering a fumble on a somewhat controversial penalty call against the Raiders.
Andy Reid’s men are now marching to the playoffs with a stunning record of 11-1 despite a string of injuries.
Isiah Pacheco suffered a fractured right fibula back in Week 2 and missed nine games for the Chiefs.
Rashee Rice is out for the season due to a damaged LCL and Harrison Butker is dealing with a knee injury.
However, head coach Reid may soon have star man Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown back to his squad.
Brown, 27, suffered a dislocated sternoclavicular joint in August and has yet to play this season.
But the wide receiver appears to be getting close to returning, and right in time for the playoffs.
The Florida star posted a clip of himself on Instagram looking quite game-ready as he worked with the jugs machine.
According to The Athletic, Brown will rejoin his teammates in mid-December.
That is also great news for the Chiefs’ star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who will have a pair of very capable hands to meet his long passes on the field.
Brown signed a lucrative one-year contract with the Chiefs worth a staggering $7million (£5.5m) this offseason.
The NFL superstar registered 51 passes for 574 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games for the Arizona Cardinals last year.
