Judi Dench‘s latest title sounds nothing like a dame.
The legendary actress recently revealed that her pet parrot has quite a colorful vocabulary, which includes a blushworthy nickname for the 89-year-old.
“We had a long chat just now,” Dench told the Sunday Times of Sweetie, her rescue African grey parrot. “You shouldn’t ask what she says. She says: ‘You’re a slut’, ‘you’re a slag.'”
“She has said ‘Boris Johnson,’ but she didn’t get that from me,” she continued. “She listens to the radio.”
Despite Sweetie’s more eyebrow-raising nicknaming skills, Dench whole-heartedly gave the pet her recommendation.
“My God, she’s funny though. She’s very, very funny,” the Belfast actress added. “Everybody should have a parrot, or a myna bird. Their voices are absolutely incredible.”
The Oscar winner—who shares daughter Finty Williams, 52, with late husband Michael Williams—made the cheeky confession just ahead of her 90th birthday, and she admitted that her milestone birthday gives her conflicting feelings.
“It’s just that you get a bit nervous when everybody says 90. I don’t want to think of 90 much, I’m going to think about [turning] 29,” Dench said. “I think you’re lucky to be 90.”
