Joe Rogan has had the most popular podcast for the last couple of years, but a new one has knocked his Joe Rogan Experience off of its pedestal and took the top spot on streaming platforms.
The 57-year-old podcast host’s show was officially topped by the debut episode of Not Gonna Lie, Kylie Kelce’s new podcast that premiered on Thursday, December 5. Kylie’s show reportedly climbed to the number two spot on the charts before it premiered and eventually took over Rogan’s pod on Monday, December 9 – and is still holding strong.
In the episode, Kylie, 32, made her hosting debut and touched on various topics, one of which included the last two years of her life in the public eye, which she described as “interesting.” The host of the new podcast is married to former Philadelphia Eagles player, Jason Kelce, whose brother, Travis Kelce, is dating pop superstar Taylor Swift. Her brother-in-law’s relationship helped push them into the public eye.
Kylie talked about her experience and told her listeners, “When I said ‘I prefer to be behind the scenes,’ I very much meant that… I don’t like attention on me,” before adding, “So the last two years have forced me to turn it into a positive, to figure out how to control the narrative, and to embrace it. And I think that perfectly sums up why we’re here.”
The mother-of-three also mentioned the benefits of her popularity and said, “I have increased visibility, which makes the things that I talk about have increased visibility, and if I can do things to impact field hockey, women’s sports in general, and different philanthropic endeavors or charities I feel strongly about, then we can make this up. We can take a positive spin on this.”
Fans of the two podcasters took to Reddit to share their thoughts on Rogan’s podcast being dethroned. One wrote, “Really? I listen to podcasts at work every day and have never heard of this,” while a second admitted “f**k joe rogan but i am so tired of this family.”
A third wrote, “Reminder that her episode on New Heights was by far their highest viewed podcast (before it was public who her Brother in Law was dating.),” referencing Jason and Travis’ popular podcast, New Heights.
Kylie and Jason have been married since 2018 and share three daughters: Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 1. The couple also revealed in November on Instagram that they are expecting their fourth daughter.
