NFL Network’s Jamie Erdahl got emotional after receiving a surprise gift from Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell on live TV.
Erdahl is the host of Good Morning Football and brought on the NFL head coach to the program on Thursday.

McConnell appeared on the NFL show and revealed that Erdahl will be tasked with sounding the Ghallarhorn for the Vikings against the Indianapolis Colts on November 3.
Erdahl is a native of Bloomington, Minnesota, and grew up a Vikings fan.
“Jamie, obviously, you hold a special place within this building, as a Minnesotan and former resident of the Twin Cities,” O’Connell said to Erdahl.
“We figured what bigger time to bring you back home when we play the Indianapolis Colts.
“I know you know a lot about our culture, our great environment at U.S. Bank Stadium.
“How about coming out to sound our Gjallarhorn?”
The 35-year-old Erdahl put her hands to her face in astonishment upon receiving the news.
She was then brought to tears as her colleagues Peter Schrager, Kyle Brandt, and Akbar Gbajabiamila cheered her on.
“That’s amazing coach. Oh my gosh, thank you!” Erdahl told McConnell.

The announcement came after Erdahl went viral this week for getting into a debate with fellow Minnesota native and NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero about the duo’s high school alliances.
McConnell brought up the friendly debate and he is a three-year resident of Minnesota.
Erdahl then told him that they should have a bottle of wine and she’ll give him “all the insights as to where not to live, not to send your kids to school. I’ve got all the takes for the state of Minnesota.”
“I am so honored and floored and speechless. … I’m so grateful. Thank you. I love the state of Minnesota so much coach. Thank you!” she continued, thank McConnell for the opportunity.
The Vikings matchup with the Colts is set for 1:00 pm Eastern in Week 9.
Erdal will get to lead one of the most iconic pregame traditions in the NFL.
