A pair of bloodhounds have gone viral after their owner revealed their habit of yelling at her every night unless she feeds them dinner early.
In a June video shared on TikTok under the username @winniecooper00, the two pups can be seen cornering their owner on the couch and whining and stomping their feet as she refuses to give them an early dinner.
“They started asking for dinner at 2:30. It’s now 4:30 and they’re getting mad. Literally stomping her feet. Can dogs call you names? Because I think they are,” reads the layover text displayed on the video.
Meanwhile the poster’s other dog, lying on the couch with her, is looking around and wondering what they’re all mad about. “Roo is just annoyed they woke her up from her nap,” the text continues.
A caption shared with the hilarious video explains: “Every single night they yell at me.”
Dogs are always hungry, and if it was up to them they would eat all day, but feeding them too much can end up harming them. So how do you know much they should eat in a day?
The experts at PetMD say the size of your dog matters when determining how much you should feed them. Smaller and toy breeds need much less food than bigger and more athletic canines.
Toy dogs that weigh up to 3 pounds need only about 139 calories during the day, while medium dogs up to 30 pounds require about 781 calories. Bigger dogs, such as those weighing up to 100 pounds, must have around 1,926 calories.
“Unless stated otherwise, these amounts give you the total that is recommended for your dog over a 24-hour period,” PetMD’s website says.
The video quickly went viral on social media and has so far received over 1.4 million views and 241,900 likes.
One user, Beauthedoodle_75, commented: “Getting up to eye level…’Scuse me, perhaps you didn’t hear me the first time. IT’S TIME TO EAT!”
Dhart319 said: “This is my cat, if I go in the kitchen he runs to where his food is kept so fast, like he’s trying to remind me where it’s at.”
Hanna Bee wrote: “I will not be disrespected in my home, as I whispered when I got up to get their food.”
