HUNDREDS of HomeGoods locations across the US are set to close for one day later this month.
The pending shutdown comes as Americans prepare to mark a holiday.
HomeGoods chiefs have confirmed that all 914 stores will be shutting so workers can mark Thanksgiving.
The brand, founded in 1992, is part of the TJX family, and chiefs have confirmed several of its household names will be closed.
TJ Maxx and Marshalls outlets will also fall silent on Turkey Day, which falls on November 28.
Last year, bosses explained that the decision to close stores was so workers can enjoy family time during the holidays.
“It’s just one of the ways TJX supports a work-life balance,” the company said in an Instagram post.
Shoppers shouldn’t despair as the closures will only last 24 hours.
HomeGoods stores will reopen their doors on Black Friday in anticipation for Americans eyeing up a bargain – just weeks before Christmas.
The chain has been gearing up for the festive season as in October, it announced stores would open one hour early from November 1.
Companies under the TJX portfolio are not the only retailers that close store doors for Thanksgiving.
Walmart and Target stores will be closed on November 28 this year.
This year’s Thanksgiving will mark the fifth consecutive year that Walmart stores will be closed.
Stores being closed on Thanksgiving are now a permanent fixture on Target workers’ calendars.
The popular chain first closed its doors for Thanksgiving in 2020.
Best Buy, Costco, Home Depot, and Publix stores will also be closed for the holiday.

One chain will not only be closed on Thanksgiving, but stores will remain empty for Black Friday.
REI Outdoors outlets will be silent for 48 hours at the end of November.
Bosses have urged workers to go for nature therapy instead of retail therapy this year.
“What used to be one of the most chaotic days for our employees is now one where they can do what they love,” Eric Artz, president and CEO of REI, said.
REI’s tradition of closing stores on Thanksgiving dates back to 2015.
