Cops confirmed the remains were discovered in a walk-in oven inside the store’s bakery department, as reported by Global News.

A dispatch call revealed that a female was locked in an oven in the bakery.

The dispatcher relayed that the oven was still on and was unsure if workers could switch it off.

First responders rushed to the supermarket, and they later confirmed the woman was out of the oven.

Police have not revealed any details about any injuries the woman, who moved to Canada around two years ago from India, may have suffered.

And they have not revealed her cause of death as the investigation remains ongoing.

The supermarket has not yet reopened to the public, but state officials revealed a stop-work order has been issued for the bakery.

Walmart Canada spokesperson Amanda Moss told The U.S. Sun the company was left heartbroken by the worker’s death.

“We’re supporting our associates during this incredibly difficult time and have provided access to 24/7 virtual care and will provide on-site support, including grief counseling,” she said.

“Our store is temporarily closed. We are cooperating with authorities during their investigation.”

The worker’s death has left locals in the community wanting answers.

“We would like to know what happened to this young woman,” Balbir Singh, the secretary of the Maritime Sikh Society, told CBC News.

He has called on the police to be transparent as social media rumors circulate.

‘END THE RUMORS’

“We don’t know the details … there should be something from the police that puts an end to all the rumors,” he said.

Anmolpreet Singh, who is also part of the society, revealed that the Walmart worker came to Canada for a “better future.”

But, Martin Cromwell, a constable, warned that the investigation is complex.

“We just want to encourage the public to be patient with our investigation and be mindful that there is family members and co-workers involved,” he said.

Cromwell warned the probe may take a significant amount of time to be completed.

It remains unknown when the Walmart supermarket will reopen to the public.

The horror find came just weeks after a worker’s body was found in the freezer at a Food Lion store in Raleigh, North Carolina.

In May 2023, a body was found in the freezer of an Arby’s restaurant in New Iberia, Louisiana.
