The Stewart-Haas Racing team is set to fully rebrand to Haas Factory Team as they announce their drivers for the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Key to this restructuring are drivers Sheldon Creed and Sam Mayer, freshly onboarded from rival teams. Creed, shifting from Joe Gibbs Racing to HFT, is scheduled to man the No. 00 Ford Mustang. His track record boasts nearly 400 led laps in the Xfinity Series, albeit a win still eludes him despite finishing runner-up ten times. Speaking about his upcoming move, Creed commented, as quoted by Motorsport:
“I’ve won in every division I’ve raced in and I feel like I’ve earned my place in the Xfinity Series, but that’s not enough. I want to win in the Xfinity Series.”
Creed also detailed his decision influenced deeply by conversations with former SHR standout, Cole Custer, whose track achievements upon rejoining the Xfinity Series motivated Creed further. He added:
“When I talked with him about the setup of the organization, everything he said resonated with me. I feel like [the] Haas Factory Team is a place where I can succeed, and where Sam and I can work together to win races and be championship contenders.”
On the other hand, Mayer, transferring from JR Motorsports, is slated to take on the No. 41 Ford Mustang. With six Xfinity Series wins and a journey to the Championship 4 last year, his aspirations are high. Mayer commented:
“Cup is my ultimate goal. Get out of my comfort zone, challenge myself, and hone my race skills so that when that Cup moment comes, I’m ready.
“The Haas team got Cole Custer ready for his moment, and it’s a place that will help get me and Sheldon ready for our moments.”
