Fremantle teenager Odin Jones has had serious surgery on his spine after suffering — what the club has called — a “freak accident”.
In a statement, the Dockers said Odin fell “awkwardly” on Wednesday night and fractured a vertebrae in his spine.
“This was a freak accident and Odin is now in the care of specialists following surgery this morning,” football manager Joe Brierty said.

“He will now have a couple of weeks in hospital while we await advice on his recovery timeline.
“The thoughts of everyone at Fremantle are with Odin and his family at this time.”
The 19-year-old is a 197cm key forward.
He was selected from West Perth with Pick 5 in last year’s rookie draft and recently signed a one-year contract extension to remain on the Fremantle’s list until the end of 2025.
