FOX NFL Sunday has announced a major change to Rob Gronkowski’s role on the show.
During Week 10’s episode of Fox NFL Sunday, Gronk will put on a special performance for the team.
After Gronk was missing from Fox NFL Sunday in Week 9, it was revealed that he will has a special part to play in Week 10.
The show revealed that they would be filming a special episode in San Diego at a military base for Veteran’s day.
“Each and every year on Veteran’s Day weekend we have one of our favorite traditions,” Curt Menefee said.
“Taking our show on the road to a military installation to share just a little bit of fun.
“More importantly, honor the men and women of the armed forces past and present.”
The show will take place at Naval Base San Diego in California.
“This tradition has taken us all over the world on land and at sea,” Menefee continued.
“This year we’re heading just down the road from us. Next Sunday, we’ll have a special two-hour show live from Naval Base San Diego.
“San Diego is a city that even after they retire, 230,000 veterans still call it home.”
During that show, Gronk is going to perform a special stunt alongside members of the military.
For last season’s edition of the episode, Gronk jumped out of a plane alongside soldiers.
“Last year at the Air Force Academy, you may remember Gronk jumped out of a plane,” Menefee said.
“That was a big deal right? He had a parachute there. This year he’s gonna make a jump without a parachute.”
Who knows how he is going to pull it off, but Gronk will somehow make a landing with no parachute to help him.
Jimmy Johnson was baffled by this stunt, but pulled himself together to share his excitement about the upcoming episode and how much he loves the military.
