Ballot boxes in Oregon and Washington have been set on fire, threatening voter confidence in the run-up to the 2024 U.S. presidential election. Former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick has stepped into the political spotlight once again, urging voters to actively track their ballots as these incidents were reported. The ballot destruction in the Pacific Northwest, identified as an arson attack, means that voters must keep track of their votes.
Ballot boxes in these states were deliberately set on fire using incendiary devices, causing the destruction of votes that had been cast. Such acts are serious offenses and can lead to strong legal consequences, including imprisonment and hefty fines.

Patrick, known for her achievements in both IndyCar and NASCAR, has once again taken to her platform to address these concerns on social media. Using Instagram, Patrick told her followers to use the ballot tracking tools to ensure their votes were counted and mitigated against tampering.

“What?! Make sure you track your ballot so you know when it has been counted,” she posted on her Instagram story. “I voted on Wednesday at a local voting/drop off center. My confirmation email came Sunday.
“Vote early,” she continued.
Patrick has confirmed that she is voting for Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, actively participating in his political rallies.
Patrick’s public political engagement has even seen her receive a direct acknowledgment from Trump himself, who commended her campaigning efforts. Reflecting on her unexpected political journey, she expressed her astonishment.
“If you would have told me a year ago I would speak at a Donald Trump rally 12 days before the election and have him call me out a few times during his speech…. I would have asked if you fell out of the coconut tree. Politics is so new and so unexpected for me. It’s an honor to be part of one of the most powerful political movements in history. Not only as far as an election but also to expose the truth and really be the party of unification,” Patrick shared on X, formerly Twitter.
The 2024 election sees Donald Trump seeking a return to office, while Kamala Harris endeavors to make history as the first female president of the United States. The need for transparent and secure voting processes is paramount, regardless of which way you vote.
