The Israeli Airports Authority temporarily suspended takeoffs at Ben-Gurion Airport after sirens sounded across northern settlements following the interception of a ballistic missile from Lebanon by Israeli forces, according to the Jerusalem Post.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that five unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) were intercepted over the Mediterranean Sea.
The IDF later clarified there was no security incident at Ben Gurion Airport.
The airport resumed flights after a brief pause, with no further incidents reported. The interception came amid rising tensions and ongoing conflict in the region.
