FAMILY Feud fans have learned that a Steve Harvey biopic is in the works, and they’re sharing their dream casting.
Objectively Good Media is early in production on the film, called Seventy-Two.
The film is an authorized biopic all about Steve, 67, according to Deadline.
Fans are eager to see the film and already have ideas about who should be cast.
Popular X account @DiscussingFilm shared the announcement on social media, with people sounding off in the replies.
One person retweeted the post, adding a photo of Steve’s stepdaughter Lori Harvey’s ex-boyfriend, Michael B. Jordan, on the cover of People magazine.
“It’s his time,” they added.
Lori, 27, dated Michael, 37, for a year and a half, calling it quits in 2022.
Another fan suggested Samuel L. Jackson, simply sharing a GIF of him.
Several commenters jokingly said that Mr. Potato Head would be the perfect lead.
Coleman Domingo and Keenan Thompson were also floated as possibilities.
EVERYTHING WE KNOW
Mohamed Kheir and Matthew R. Cooper will serve as producers on the Seventy-Two, along with East 112 – a production company headed up by the Family Feud host and Thabiti Stephens, Chief Strategy Officer of Steve Harvey Global.
Per the outlet, no writer has been attached to the project yet.
Seventy-Two will focus on the 72 hours leading up to Steve’s iconic performance at the Apollo Theatre in 1993, which began his career trajectory.
The movie will give fans an inside look at the game show host’s ups and downs throughout his career.
Before going into entertainment, Steve worked in sales but left the industry to pursue comedy.
