FACEBOOK users are experiencing a glitch in the site’s algorithm that is bombarding their feeds with “Happy Birthday” posts of people they don’t know.

Widespread reports from users all over social media on Wednesday indicate that their entire feeds are filled with random people’s birthdays.

“Why is MY FEED filled with ppl who I don’t know telling some random mutual ‘Happy Birthday,’ asked one user on X.

“Why am I seeing every single person, who I am NOT friends with, wishing the folks who I am friends with ‘Happy Birthday,’ asked another.

“My entire feed is ONLY this. I can’t refresh,” she said, explaining she is only seeing birthday wishes from the friends of her friends.

And it turns out, this is not the first time this glitch in the algorithm occurred.

The last time this happened was in 2022 when pages were plastered with users commenting on celebrity profiles.

However, the issue was resolved within a few hours but this one persists as of now.

Facebook blamed “a configuration change” that “caused some people to have trouble with their Facebook feed,” but did not elaborate.
