Opening up about working on Ami Je Tomar 3.0 with Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit shared, “I have alays enjoyed dance duets, whether it was Dil Toh Pagal Hai or Dola Re Dola or Bhool Bhualiyaa 3’s Ami Je Tomar. I think Aami Je Tomar was already an iconic song. Vidya Balan had made that song iconic with the way she performed and the way she acted. I used to love this song so when I got the opportunity to be in this film, and they said we were going to do the song as well, I was very thrilled. I said, ‘Oh my god, it’ll be such a great experience to dance with Vidya.’ I’ve always appreciated her as an actress. She’s a wonderful actress and now that I got to know her, she’s an excellent person too. She’s such a nice person. We vibed so well during the making of the film also.”
She further added, “I thought the idea of taking Kathak and Bharatnatyam, two different styles for two different actresses, blending it into one song, and making it like a Jugalbandi, imagine that. Chinni Prakash has done such a wonderful job, Shreya Ghoshal’s voice is so beautiful and melodious. It’s the same song, but it looks very different on screen. Every day was exciting when we did the song. It’s great when you want to do something different and you get to work with a team that’s so much on the same page.”
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which also features Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra and others, will release in theatres on November 1, 2024.
