GET Up host Mike Greenberg was unimpressed when he noticed that the show’s studio had replaced its Aaron Rodgers jersey with one belonging to Brock Purdy.

Greeny, 57, has been a big defender of Rodgers, and maintained belief in the 40-year-old throughout his Achilles injury layoff.

Rodgers made his long-awaited return to action last night, as the New York Jets lost 32-19 to the San Francisco 49ers.

The veteran quarterback played his first full NFL game since 2022, and showed signs of rust.

He completed 13 passes for 167 yards, failing to hit the ground running.

To make matters worse for Greeny, he noticed during this morning’s episode of Get Up on ESPN that the Rodgers jersey in the studio had been replaced.

“Wait a minute, wait a minute,” Greenberg said as he noticed the switch. “What am I seeing? Can we take that shot again?

“What is that? Wait a minute, what has happened?”

With some of the panelists chuckling, Greenberg got out of his chair and marched over to the jersey.

“What the actual… heck is going on?” he continued, being careful not to curse live on air.

“We all know what this is supposed to be. When did this get replaced by a… I’m not even kidding.

“When the hell did this just happen? Who replaced the Aaron Rodgers jersey with a Brock Purdy jersey?”

Travis Kelce in stitches following brother Jason’s chaotic analyst debut on ESPN as ex-NFL star laughs ‘can I say that?’

Domonique Foxworth offered a brutal response.

“I mean, Purdy replaced it, that’s who replaced it,” he said.

“Kyle Shanahan replaced it, that’s who replaced it.”

Rodgers himself admitted that he and his team have to be better following last night’s game.

‘WE EXPECT GREATNESS’

“That’s an excuse, for sure,” he said, referencing his injury. “I’m not gonna use that. I don’t think we should.

“We expect greatness when we step on the field. There were moments for sure, moments that felt really good, but not sustained.”

Having worked so hard over the last 11 months to get healthy again, Rodgers thanked those that have helped him each step of the way.

“Yeah, it’s been a while, it felt great,” he said. “A lot of gratitude just to be back in pads. So many people helped me get to this spot.

“So I’m really thankful for my surgeon, my loved ones, my friends, the staff here, training staff to help me get back was really cool.”

Rodgers will be back in action this Sunday, when the Jets take on the Tennessee Titans on the road.
