Emily Ratajkowski tried to sneak her new bob haircut past us

We expect to see plenty of celebrity hair transformations as we head into autumn – because it’s a key step-change to visually set a new, cosier mood – and Emily Ratajkowski has never been one to let a fresh glow-up pass her by. Even though she’s made her dark, midi-length brunette hair a signature, the model and author regularly keeps us on our toes by sprinkling in new beauty looks when we least expect.

Last September she casually dropped a fox red hair transformation on her Instagram that had disappeared by the next post. She’s mixed in elfin micro fringes, shaggy pixie crops and Mathilda Lando bobs among others as she’s experimented with her style.

The latest? Em posted a new Self Portrait campaign on her Instagram on 16th October. At first glance, everything seemed as normal. In the first picture, Emily wears her hair just below collarbone length and styled with ’60s retro waves. But, a few clicks through her photo dump, on slide five, Emily looks to be wearing a brand new style and length 👀.

She can be seen wearing a powder blue knitted cardigan with a gold flower button and soft rosy pink makeup. Her eyes feature a vintage frosted lilac shadow, paired with mauve blusher and lipstick. But it’s her hair that’s the show-stopper. Swapping in a Jackie Kennedy bouffant bob, Emily’s curled hair sits just above the shoulders.

It’s cute, it’s preppy, it’s cosy and it’s nostalgic (which is a pretty winning quadruplet when it comes to autumn hair trends). The question is, how long will Emily Ratajkowski keep her latest hairstyle last before she moves on to the next? We’d love to see it stay for a few more posts.
