DRIVERS have been warned to beware driving through states with the worst rage in the whole of America – and a map below reveals the hotspots.
The study looked at several factors to fairly decide which state was the worst for road rage – and the one that takes first place may shock you.

According to a 2024 study published by Consumer Affairs, Louisiana takes first place for the state with the worst road rage.
The study looked at speed, accidents, aggressive driving and gun violence among other factors to determine the winner – and Louisiana won.
The state got the top score of 47.32.
In Louisiana, law classifies road rage under reckless driving that could land you a fine of up to $200 and even being imprisoned for up to 90 days – or both for the first offense.
In second place came New Mexico due to a higher per capita rate of drive confrontations involving a gun.
Montana comes in at third which may surprise many due to its less-congested roads.
But the state has a large rate of fatal accidents related to careless driving.
In fourth place is Colorado – or more specifically Denver – where the city has a fair bit of traffic that can cause outbursts from drivers.
Colorado’s armed road rage incidents are reportedly nearly double the national average.
And in fifth place is Arkansas, where, unlike other states higher in the list, hardly have any incidents involving guns.
But the state suffers from aggressive driving behaviours and have registered the highest rates of fatal accidents due to aggressive driving in the country.

It’s also recommended give yourself enough time to get to your destination to avoid any dangerous driving.
If you encounter an aggressive driver, remain calm and, if necessary, pull over.
If approached, don’t open any doors or windows.
Calling the police is recommended if you feel threatened.
