While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Drew, 49, talked about how she’s going to not get too close to her guests.

For months, fans have complained about the Charlie’s Angels star’s approach to interviewing.

During her conversation, the interviewer asked what fans can look forward to during the upcoming season.

“I’ll try to practice physical distance which is not my strong point,” the TV personality explained.

She continued, “Do you know how hard that pandemic was for me? I was alone in a studio by myself.

“I like to be around people! It’s not everyone’s favorite and I’m sorry to those people.”

‘IT’S REALLY WEIRD’

Drew’s statement was shared on a pop culture-themed Reddit forum where users shared their true thoughts on Drew’s interviewing style.

“I’ve seen her show and the interviews are weird, she just basically climbs in people’s laps practically,” one wrote.

Another said, “Her show was always on at the gym and I would see her weird lack of awareness of personal space and it would just grind my gears.

“Not everyone wants you to be on your knees in front of them holding their hand trying to get the feels out.”

“She needs one of those dividers like the grocery store or bank,” a third admitted.

Someone else said, “Her behavior is unprofessional. Guests are booked on her show to promote what they’ve got going on.

“They’re working and not there to snuggle with Drew. It’s a very weird thing to do to strangers.”

Earlier this year, Oprah sat down with Drew and talked about their first interview together.

During their discussion, Drew sat extremely close to Oprah, and the two held hands throughout the interview.

The clip was shared on TikTok where fans thought the interview was “cringey.”

One wrote, “Just creepy!”

Another said, “She’s cringey and is always invading people’s privacy.

Despite the backlash, Oprah defended Drew.

“I was actually comforted by the stroking of the arm,” she told TMZ. “Drew is terrific, and I love that she is always herself.”
