DONALD Trump has been briefed on plots by Iran to assassinate him and that the Islamic Republic will try again, the former president said.
The 45th leader of the USA has shared the threats on his life as the presidential campaign heads into the final stretch.

The Republican said in a post to X: “Big threats on my life by Iran. The entire U.S. Military is watching and waiting.
“Moves were already made by Iran that didn’t work out, but they will try again. Not a good situation for anyone.
“I am surrounded by more men, guns, and weapons than I have ever seen before.”
Trump then goes on to thank Congress for unanimously approving more money for the Secret Service and improving standards.
He said: “Nice to see Republicans and Democrats get together on something. An attack on a former President is a Death Wish for the attacker!”
His campaign also released a statement about the threats.
It said: “President Trump was briefed earlier today by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence regarding real and specific threats from Iran to assassinate him in an effort to destabilize and sow chaos in the United States.”
Intelligence officials identified Iranian threats have “heightened in the past few months” and U.S. officials were working to protect Trump, it claimed.
The former president’s post to X comes as the man who allegedly staked him out on his golf course in Florida has been charged with attempting to assassinate him.
Suspect Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, was denied bail at a court hearing on Monday – hours after prosecutors cited a letter offering $150,000 to “finish the job” as evidence of why he should be kept locked up pending trial.
Iran has been accused of hacking Donald Trump’s campaign and then leaking documents to the press and Democrats.
Trump’s campaign claimed that Iranian hackers “sent a spear phishing email in June to a high-ranking official on a presidential campaign.”
Iran has previously denied claims of interfering in US elections.
Trump was shot in the ear in a July assassination attempt that shocked the world.
He said he felt a bullet ripping through his skin as he spoke to a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Trump said in a post: “I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin.
“Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
Alleged assassain Ryan Routh’s letter
The Justice Department released a chilling letter from would-be assassin Ryan Wesley Routh about his plan to kill Donald Trump on Monday.
“Dear world,” the note began.
“This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster.
“It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.
“Everyone across the globe from the youngest to the oldest know that Trump is unfit to be anything, much less a U.S. president.
“US presidents must at bare minimum embody the moral fabric that is America, and be kind, caring and selfless and always stand for humanity.
“Trump fails to understand any of [that],” the letter concluded.
