DOLLAR General is making a storewide change to all its 19,000 locations and customers will see thousands of items slashed by 50%.
The discount retailer will launch its Deal Days on October 31 – Halloween – and will feature new deals every week until December 21.

Over 6,000 items will be discounted or heavily promoted during this season.
Shoppers can find savings on everything from decor to festive foods, pantry staples and more, reports Business Wire.
The special sales will run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
There will also be 25% off discounts, buy one get one free deals and more.
These come in addition to Dollar General’s low prices.
Promos include 50% off dinnerware, flatware sets, kitchen canisters, cutting boards and serving trays.
Customers can also enjoy 50% off holiday candles, half price off Comfort Bay throws or blankets and buy one, get one 50% off GoodCook gadgets or True Living bakeware.
Other products on offer involve toys, Krispy Kreme and Uber/Uber Eats gift cards and more.
Emily Taylor, Dollar General’s executive vice president said: “As shoppers seek more ways to save this season, we are pleased to offer savings on thousands of items.
“[These] include everyday essentials, home décor must-haves and the things you need to trim your tree or wrap a gift.”
She continued: “Whether it’s holiday decorations, food for your family gatherings or gifts, DG is here for what matters, saving customers time and money for a stress-free and festive season.”
And for customers who want to save more, signing up to the myDG app will grant them access to exclusive coupons, cash back and more.
For the more organized shoppers, the app can be used to build a shopping list and to clip digital coupons.
Dollar General recently announced a holiday toy guide, offering low-cost toy options for those who can’t fork out on more pricey gifts for their tots.
The chain has also debuted buy two get one deals on handy grocery items including ingredients for Pumpkin Pie, Green Bean Casserole and Sweet Potato Casserole.
It comes after Dollar General announced it was closing one store via signs at one location in New York.
A Dollar General spokesperson would not disclose a specific date for the closure after the liquidation sales when contacted by The U.S. Sun but confirmed it would be sometime in September.
They also noted that employees would be allowed to transfer to nearby locations in the surrounding area and did not provide a reason behind the shutdown.
“After a thorough assessment, Dollar General is closing our location at 4602 Avenue D in Brooklyn, New York later this month,” the spokesperson wrote in an email.
