A dog that unexpectedly aced the “hands in” challenge has become a viral sensation online, leaving viewers across the internet bursting with pride.
Danni Wells’ dog had passed the “hands in” challenge with flying colors after being put to the test by her owners last week. The internet test, which has quickly gained popularity online, often sees two dog owners place their hands on top of one another in front of their pet. Their dog or puppy is then tasked with noticing their unusual hand-positioning and adding their paw into the mix.
Wells captured the moment that her dog aced the challenge and shared it to TikTok six days ago, under the username @danniwellss. “Testing the viral ‘hands in’ challenge on our doggy,” Wells had written in the overlaid text on the video.
Wells’ dog had, to his owner’s surprise, shown a clear understanding of what to do when Wells and her partner stacked their hands together in front of him. The pup’s quick jump to action and excited smile after successfully landing his paw on his owners’ hands melted the hearts of many viewers.
The “hands in” trend has risen in popularity over the last few weeks, with social-media users across the world grabbing their pets to join in and share their own renditions online. Wells’ recent attempt at the trend has been watched more than 21.8 million times to date, making it the most-viewed video on her account.
As a result, the clip has attracted plenty of engagement, having amassed more than 3.6 million likes and over 6,000 comments.
“All I do is cry on this app,” one user, @cute_peachh, wrote.
Another, @tinenouwen, added: “Awww she was so proud of herself,” To which Wells replied: “So proud it kind of made her jump, haha.”
Another, known as Sophie on the platform, shared: “When you cheered and she was immediately proud of herself.” Wells responded: “Then the full on happy wiggle.”
“She is so pure I can’t,” a different viewer, @anothergia, commented.
Another, @magda.bochenska, added: “This is my favorite trend EVER.”
