A pair of dogs from Texas have melted hearts on social media after their owner shared a video of them looking so excited that he was home from work for longer than usual that they didn’t even know how to react.
The heartwarming video, shared on TikTok on Sunday under the username @james_sams_libra, shows the pups lying on the couch on top of one another, wagging their tails energetically as they stare at their owner, surprised at him spending more time than usual at home with them.
“Three days in a row of being home from work and they just don’t know how to act,” says a caption shared along with the viral video.
All dog owners love their pups more than anything, but do our furbabies love us back? The answer is… Yes!
VCA Animal Hospitals says: “Science proves that part of the canine brain is associated with positive emotions and they do, indeed, feel love for their human companions.”
An experiment carried out on dogs using MRI machines, found that when a dog smells their human the “reward center” of their brain activates, “lighting up” their brains.
Many signs prove your dog loves you, but perhaps the most obvious one is their excitement to see you. If your dog jumps or barks or gets overly excited when you step through the door, that’s because they couldn’t wait to have you back home
The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 357,600 views and 123,800 likes on the platform.
One user, Colorado Gram, commented: “This is happening, is it real Dave?!” Yes yes! He is staying”! ” ok look normal Dave! Stop shaking Dave! I am!! Just smile!!!”
Meredith said: “Stop I love when the little dogs get on top of the bigger ones.”
Microsoft Surface wrote: “Them plotting how to get you to never leave again.”
The dawgs added: “Know these two are out there in the world loving each other makes me feel a little better.”
User Jessica Bitt said: “My dog for real gets sick of us if we’re home too many days in a row. Legit exhausted from following us around all day.”
