Sanders is attempting to get the Buffaloes its first winning season since 2020.

Colorado is currently 2-1 and the NFL Hall of Famer coached the team to a 4-8 record last year after the squad went 1-11 the year before he joined.

A college could be interested in Sanders’ services – and that program could be the Florida State Seminoles.

The team is coming off an undefeated regular season and winning the ACC Championship while also being snubbed from the College Football Playoff.

However, Florida State is off to a brutal 0-3 start after having hopes of earning a spot in the CFP.

They have lost to Georgia Tech, Boston College, and Memphis and they’re unlikely to reach the CFP.

The disappointing start has caused Seminoles head coach Mike Norvell to be on the hot seat.

The current betting favorite to take Norvell’s job is Sanders with odds at +300, per BetOnline Sportsbook.

It just so happens that Sanders has a history with FSU.

He played for the school from 1985 to 1988 in 45 and has his No. 2 jersey retired.

Coaches Matt Rhule (+400), Lane Kiffin (+600), Pat Surtain Sr. (+700), and Jamey Chadwell (+1000) follow Sanders in betting odds to possibly run the show at Florida State.

It’s not yet determined what Sanders will do after this season due to the fact his sons, Shadeur and Shilo Sanders, have finished their college careers.

Both will enter the 2025 NFL Draft.

The quarterback Shadeur is expected to be a first-round pick while Shilo is a potential Day 2 or early Day 3 selection.

Sanders being the next coach can be intriguing to Seminoles fans – especially due to his recruiting abilities.

In 2021 and 2022, the Buffaloes recruit classes were ranked No. 65 and No. 58 by 247 Sports, respectively.

In Sanders’ inaugural season, the recruiting class was ranked 21st and was even the top rank in transfers.

Still, Florida State will hope to claim their first victory against the California Golden Bears this weekend.

Sanders and his Colorado team will face the Baylor Bears.
