THE NFL Week 6 matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions saw a historic feat from the two teams.

Jerry Jones’ Dallas Cowboys, however, were on the wrong side of history as they got clobbered 47-9 at their home confines in AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

The Cowboys had a chance to score with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter.

But quarterback Cooper Rush, who filled in for Dak Prescott, threw an interception.

The final score was 47-9, making it the first time in NFL history that a game had ever ended with that exact score.

It was the 1,087th unique final score in NFL history.

Dallas only got their points from three field goals from kicker Brandon Aubrey.

The Lions scored their 47 points thanks to five touchdowns and fourth field goals.

Detroit also didn’t punt a single time.

The 38-point margin of a loss ties the record for the largest loss under Jones, who bought the Cowboys in 1989.

There have only been three scorigamis this season, and Dallas has been involved in two of them.

Dallas was part of one scorigami in Week 2 when they lost a home game to the New Orleans Saints by a score of 47-19.

The Cowboys have a 3-3 record, and all three losses have come at home.

The latest defeat came on Jones’ 82nd birthday.

Dallas star quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 178, no touchdowns, and two interceptions.

“I’m not a guy to hit the panic button,” the All-Pro quarterback told reporters Sunday.

“You never prepare for that or think that can happen the way it did today, here at home, again.

“Now dropping three at home, a place that we’ve been great.”

The Cowboys will be on the bye in Week 7.

However, they will have to face the NFC foe San Francisco 49ers on the road in Week 8.

Dallas will then have the chance to win their first home game against the Atlanta Falcons in the following week.
