WBC and WBO female bantamweight champion Dina Thorslund (22-0) has suffered a cut in training and her defense against Japanese challenger Terumi Nuki (15-5) has been postponed from August 30 until October 25 with Holstebro (Denmark) remaining as site.
Thorslund-Nuki is billed as “The Last Dance” and will be Thorslund’s last fight on Danish soil.
Danish boxing will now be quite busy during October, beginning on October 5, with the annual Herlev Fight Night on the outskirts of Copenhagen where there will be five pro fights on top of an amateur bill. Lightweight prospect Elias Idrissi (5-0) meets David Rajuili (13-13-1) with more fights to be announced.
On October 12, it’s Danish Fight Night at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen with Sarah Mahfoud (14-2), Hamza Hussein (7-0) and Mathias Hansen (5-0) fighting opponents to be announced.
On October 18, Danish Boxing Promotions stage their inaugural show in Randers with a team of newcomers – and then on October 25 it will be Thorslund-Nuki.
