Crawford And Turki Alalshikh Calls Out Canelo After Win Over Berlanga

Terence Crawford and His Excellency Turki Alalshikh called out Canelo Alvarez following his victory over Edgar Berlanga on Saturday night in Las Vegas.  Crawford is thirsty and willing to take an L for that payday against Canelo.

It came across to fans on social media that Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) was again begging Canelo for that retirement check. Unless Crawford wants to go up and take on the big dogs, he needs to give up on his campaign to get that payday. Canelo has bigger fish to fry rather than helping out a needy, over-the-hill 37-year-old looking for a golden parachute.

Instead of Crawford hounding Canelo, he must give Israil Madrimov a rematch at 154 because their fight was too close last month. Canelo already said he wants $150 million for the Crawford fight, and I don’t think he’s kidding around. He says he’ll only fight Crawford if he gets $150M, and that’s his final price.

Crawford and Turki were at the Sphere in the city for the UFC event. The Nebraska native went on Instagram live to call out Mexican star Canelo online rather than attending his fight against Berlanga at the T-Mobile Arena.

Terence Crawford: “Tell them what we doing next.”

His Excellency Turki Alalshikh: “Yes, let’s go. Canelo, come on, we are ready.”

Crawford: “You heard it from him. Just put me in the game. Canelo-Crawford, the biggest fight in boxing. But we stay ready, though. That way, we don’t got to get ready.”

The way that Crawford fought against Madrimov, he’d have lost to Edgar Berlanga tonight if it had been him in there with him at the T-Mobile rather than Canelo. We saw weak and old Crawford looked at 154 in his debut at junior middleweight against Madrimov. He’s too small to fight at 168, and he would get treated like a little kid by Canelo.

If Crawford really wants that Canelo retirement payday, he needs to fight these four fighters at 168:

  1. Caleb Plant
  2. Christian Mbilli
  3. Osleys Inglesias
  4. Edgar Berlanga
