Craig Melvin’s wife, Lindsay Czarniak, is always sharing glimpses into their stunning Connecticut home on her Instagram account. This time, the Fox Sports reporter posted a photo while standing inside of the living room, which is one of their favorite rooms in the house to spend time in.
Lindsay, 46, shared one of her classic jokes that fans can’t get enough of while posing in the room in the Wednesday, October 30 post. “When should a baseball player wear armor?” one side of the paper she was holding said. She flipped it over to reveal the answer: “When they play knight games.”
The sideline reporter stood in front of the chandelier and the couch, which is the backdrop in a number of her Instagram posts. A giant photo of a horse is hung on the wall in the living room. In the second photo, the kitchen counter could be seen in the background.
While fans are so used to seeing Craig, 45, in the Today studio each morning, there’s nothing he loves more than spending time at home with his wife and kids, Delano and Sybil. Just recently, he opened up about life at home with his kiddos.
“Part of my reason why we’re a shoes-on house: We have a puppy. I have a 10-year-old. I have a seven-and-a-half-year-old. Dirt and mud coming in the house — that’s the least of our worries,” the dad of two told Better Homes & Gardens in May. “In fact, I’ve always thought that’s a sign that a house is being lived in, you know, you’ve got a little dirt on the floor. It’s a good sign these people are having fun, they’re going out.”
Both Craig and Lindsay have also shared snapshots on their Instagram accounts of their children playing with their dog, Myles, at home.
“In our house, he’s the great uniter. It doesn’t matter what anyone’s going through that particular day,” Craig revealed. “Everyone smiles when they see Myles — Myles Copper Melvin. Oh my goodness. And now that I just said that everyone smiles when they see Myles … maybe that could be a children’s book.”
Family time is something the Melvin-Czarniak crew values close their hearts.
“We spend a lot of time with our children,” Craig said. “We make a concerted effort to do it. A lot of it’s structured time. But we do a lot of that. Again, it’s — now that I’m saying it out loud, I think that’s a good thing.”
“We enjoy our children. And by that, I mean, they’re of an age now where they have their own personalities and their own sense of style,” he explained. “And it’s funny because sometimes I find myself laughing at one of my son’s jokes. Or when my daughter is mocking her brother or mocking me sometimes, I have to remember that I’m a parent, that I shouldn’t be laughing. These kids are actually kind of funny, they’re kind of clever.”
