REPUBLICAN congressman Joe Wilson collapsed while attending Ukraine’s Independence Day celebration in Washington DC.
Wilson reportedly needed CPR after he fell during the event.

Wilson’s office confirmed he suffered a health episode at the event.
“Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) was taken ill and is being evaluated at a local hospital in Washington, DC,” his office wrote on X.
Wilson’s son, Attorney General of South Carolina Alan Wilson, later confirmed the congressman suffered a stroke at the event, per local outlet SCETV’s Gavin Jackson on X.
Alan appeared briefly at a debate watch party before learning of his father’s hospitalization and leaving.
