The Washington Commanders are one of the hottest teams in the NFL. They are currently 4-1 and are riding high off the performance of rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

The defensive attack for the team has also been putting together some impressive performances as well. The Commanders got after the Cleveland Browns in Week 5, securing a staggering seven sacks.
The Commanders are now set to face off against the Baltimore Ravens, which will be one of their toughest challenges yet. What makes the game even more tense is that Washington is surprisingly sitting two healthy players.
According to NFL insider Ari Meirov, “#Commanders CB Emmanuel Forbes and DE/LB Jamin Davis — their 2023 and 2021 first-round picks from the previous regime — are both healthy inactives today vs. the Ravens.”
The Commanders are officially sitting former first-round picks, cornerback Emmanuel Forbes and defensive end/linebacker Jamin Davis.

Forbes has appeared in three games this season and has secured a total of six tackles in those games. Davis, on the other hand, has appeared in four games and picked up 12 total tackles.
Meirov indicates that both of these former first-round picks were from the former regime, so that could be a bit telling in why they are not set to suit up today. The performances for both Davis and Forbes might not have been up to the standards that head coach Dan Quinn is looking for.
This is just speculation, but Quinn has taken over the Commanders after serving as the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys. Quinn is a no-nonsense type of coach, so both former first-round picks might have been healthy scratches to potentially put them in a position where they understand they need to get going defensively.
Quinn and the Commanders are no fire right now, and the team is looking like one of the best in the NFC. Though the Minnesota Vikings are currently 5-0, the Commanders are right behind with a 4-1 record.

So far, the Commanders have Giants, Bengals, Cardinals, and Browns. Their only loss came against the Buccaneers. Most of these opponents are not looking like they will be in the playoffs come January. However, a big win on Sunday will push the Commanders into a playoff-caliber opponent.
The Ravens had a rough start in the first few games of the season, but they have rebounded in a big way and are now 3-2. The Commanders will need their defense playing well to stop the offense of Baltimore.
