“I don’t know if I was struggling more than a normal teenager should,” Camila said, “because it’s hard to say what’s normal, whether you’re famous or not. My barometer wasn’t functional. It was more than a person should bear [in that situation].”
Camila is also well aware that she didn’t have a lot of “conflict resolution skills” needed to deal with issues that arose in the girl group.
“How do you deal with being left out? How do you deal with jealousy?” she continued. “How do you deal with these things without hurting yourself or other people?”
But luckily, she and her former bandmates—the group disbanded for good in 2018—have found their groove over the years and are now in a much more solid place.
“We have been supportive of each other through like DMs and stuff,” Camila told Reuters in 2022. “I’m in a really good place with them.”
