The Cleveland Browns quietly removed a clause from starting quarterback Deshaun Watson’s contract over the offseason that would have protected him from a future suspension. Insider Jay Glazer reported the news and Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team posted it on social media.
Per the report, if Watson is suspended again, Cleveland could retain the guaranteed money that he is owed.
