Formula One’s newest race will whiz down the famous strip at night, treating spectators to some spectacular sights.

But as fans watched on ahead of qualifying, there was another moment to behold.

Acting royalty Pitt was spotted collapsing to the floor as he fainted while on the grid.

Yet the star of hit movies such as Seven, Fight Club and Bullet Train was perfectly fine.

That’s because he was filming the moment for his next upcoming movie.

Pitt is starring in a new racing flick simply called ‘F1’, with former world champ Lewis Hamilton involved in the project.

It will also be developed by Top Gun producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

And fans were treated to an upcoming scene from the movie.

It showed Pitt dressed in full driving gear walking unsteadily from the scene of a race crash.

His character, Sonny Hayes, wobbled several times before falling onto a soft square held by a film crew member.

The moment was captured on film by a cameraman.

And later, fictional team APX GP drummed up interest in the film by releasing a mock-statement.

It read: “During Qualifying, Sonny sustained a significant impact requiring immediate medical evaluation.

“Incidents of this magnitude are always taken seriously and Sonny’s health remains our top priority.

“While Sonny is otherwise stable, he will not participate in tomorrow’s face as he focuses on recovery.

“The entire team stands behind him and we’ll provide updates when available. Joshua will race solo tomorrow, carrying the team forward.”

Fans at home were certainly intrigued by Pitt’s latest project.

One said: “I’m so curious about the plot of the movie.”

Another declared: “Perhaps a dream sequence?”

One noted: “Oh god the drama, I can’t cope!”

Another added: “I’m bursting with laughter, why did he lie down like that?”
