The Kansas City Chiefs’ undefeated streak is over.
In an exciting and competitive matchup, the Buffalo Bills came out on top in dramatic fashion to put the Chiefs at 9-1.
The lead changed multiple times in the first half. After a scoreless third quarter, Buffalo took a nine-point lead early in the fourth. A pass to Noah Gray on the Chiefs soon shortened the lead to just two points.
However, Bills quarterback Josh Allen took matters into his own hands with just two minutes left in the game to run 26 yards into the end zone.
Patrick Mahomes tried to stage one of his patented comebacks in the final two minutes, but an untimely holding penalty and an interception by Taylor Rapp cemented Buffalo’s victory.
Both Allen and Mahomes proved why they are two of the best quarterbacks playing in the NFL today.
Allen completed 27 passes for 262 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also led the Bills in rushing, carrying the ball 12 times for 55 yards and one touchdown.
Meanwhile, Mahomes performed at his usually excellent level, completing 23 passes for 196 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.
While it was clear Allen enjoyed the victory, he knew this wouldn’t be the last time he’d see Mahomes and the Chiefs.
“It’s another Week 11 win,” Allen calmly said. “Knowing how things usually play it, we’ll probably see this team again at some point. We had to get there first.”
Buffalo definitely relied more on passing the ball, with three wide receivers recording over 50 reception yards.
Khalil Shakir recorded eight catches for 70 yards, Curtis Samuel made five catches for 58 yards and a touchdown, and Amari Cooper made two receptions for 55 yards.
Meanwhile wide receiver Xavier Worthy was the standout player for Kansas City, recording four receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown as well as a single rush for seven yards.
Noah Gray also had a great performance, recording four receptions for 23 yards and two touchdowns.

In the end, it came down to defensive performance, and Buffalo barely came out on top. While the Chiefs only recorded a single interception and forced three punts, the Bills sacked Mahomes twice, recorded two key interceptions, and forced four punts.
Although they lost their first game, the Chiefs are still on top of the AFC with a 9-1 record. Meanwhile, the Bills easily sit on top of the AFC East with a 9-2 record.
