“It’s like a big family reunion,” he told News Corp.

“And I’m pretty sure it’s Damian’s first spring carnival and I’m excited to be with him for that.

“They’re both the nicest people and awesome to be around. When we’re all together, we’re like one big family and I instantly get so many memories of us being really young, either in England at the snow or when they first came to Australia. It makes me feel really young again, so I’m excited to be here.”

Summer revealed that Damian and herself were “really close growing up” and were “literally like brother and sister”.

“The other night when we caught up, we spoke for about four hours just about life. The fact that the connection is still there for both of us is incredible. Elizabeth is lovely and I’m so glad they made the trip down to Melbourne.”

Liz Hurley, 59, looked amazing in her Monique L’Huillier dress and black and white Steven Jones hat.

She said the racing was “fabulous” and “we’ve had the best time”.
