Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden was rushed to hospital last night (October 26), with an ambulance called to the BBC ballroom minutes after the live show came off air.
Amy made a ballroom comeback this year after taking last year off following a breast cancer diagnosis. She announced that she had “no evidence of the disease” in her body eight months ago. Amy suffers from crohn’s disease, too.

Sources claimed to The Sun that an ambulance was called to the set just after 9pm last night. It’s been reported that Amy had collapsed backstage.
East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called just after 9pm on Saturday to attend a medical emergency at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood. An ambulance was sent to the scene. One patient, an adult female, was transported to Barnet Hospital for further care.”
Moments earlier the dancer had performed the foxtrot to Toploader hit Dancing In The Moonlight with her celebrity partner, JLS star JB Gill.
The BBC would not confirm if Amy took part in the results show, which is filmed on a Saturday night. However, it is understood that JB was seen taking part in the results show without her.
