Amazon was showing the clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders on Black Friday.

The service was apparently hit by reports of outages just before kickoff at 3 pm ET.

And there was a moment of controversy in the first quarter.

Prime Video cut to commercial after a punt play occurred at Arrowhead Stadium.

But when the broadcast returned, the Chiefs were in better position.

It was explained that a redo of the punt play took place during the commercial break.

The referees called the penalty on the Chiefs instead of the Raiders.

But they reversed the decision and it was explained on the broadcast that it was an “administrative error” by the officials.

The punt play took place again after the penalty was correctly applied.

And Kansas City began their next drive in better field position as a result.

One fan said, “Since when during commercial break do we change penalties because it’s an administrative error but Chiefs fans will sit here and tell you it’s not rigged.”

Another posted, “The chiefs are being bailed by the refs early.

“Punt redo due to ‘administrative error’ of the ref calling the penalty on the Chiefs instead of Raiders.”

While a third said, “There seem to be a lot of administrative errors in the favor of the Chiefs.”

DownDetector said there was a spike in reports of an outage around 2.50 pm ET.

Chiefs remaining schedule

Sunday, December 8 – vs Los Angeles Chargers, 8.20 pm ET

Sunday, December 15 – at Cleveland Browns, 1 pm ET

Saturday, December 21 – vs Houston Texans, 1 pm ET

The network usually broadcasts Thursday Night Football in the NFL.

But this week they were moved into their own special holiday spot with Thursday’s Thanksgiving games all shown on free-to-air television.

Amazon’s regular TNF broadcasts usually happen without issue.

But one fan said, “Amazon Prime stream of Raiders at Chiefs is horrible. Pictures quality is terrible.

“Cameras are not handling the harsh laughing. And missed a kickoff.”
