The Aldi store at 1836 N. Clybourn Ave. will close its doors on October 13, a company spokesperson confirmed the news as reported by FOX 32 Chicago.

However, it is understood nearby stores, including those at Clybourn Avenue, Milwaukee Avenue and Division Street will remain unaffected by the closure – and will continue to provide regular services to shoppers.

This includes curbside pickup and grocery delivery for customers through Instacart and DoorDash.

An Aldi spokesperson said in a statement: “ALDI will continue to provide residents great products at the lowest possible prices at our more than 30 stores across the city of Chicago, and we remain committed to making a positive impact on every community we serve.

“We strive to create an environment where our employees can thrive. We are proud to say all impacted employees have been offered a transfer to a store of their choice and no jobs will be lost.”

One shopper, who has been visiting the store for many years, said: “This location has been clearing out shelves and freezers so I asked the cashier this past weekend: ‘Is this store in trouble?’

“She laughed and said, ‘No, we’re just remodelling.'”

Another customer wrote on Facebook: “Dang. That’s the store I shop at.”

Meanwhile, Aldi customers have been rushing to get a ghost decor item for an affordable price this spooky season.

The LED light is perfect for those currently setting up Halloween decorations in their living spaces ahead of October 31.

For only $9.99, shoppers can scoop up the Huntington Home Halloween Porcelain White Ghost with LED lights at their local Aldi store, per Apartment Therapy.

It’s small enough to fit on a counter or mantle and features the “white sheet-wearing spirit” with its arms extended out.

With the appropriate batteries, the ghost lights up from the inside with a ghoulish glow to illuminate customers’ other Halloween decorations.

Interested shoppers must move fast to get the ghost LED light before it’s gone, as it’s no longer advertised on Aldi’s website.

That means there’s limited stock left at certain stores.

Some customers might have better luck locating the other design of the Huntington Home LED light — a miniature pumpkin.

The jack-o-lantern has light-up eyes and a mouth similar to the ghost but glows orange instead.

Aldi isn’t the only retailer with decorations going fast for low prices this year.

Dollar Tree’s collection has featured several dupes of expensive decorations sold at retailers like Pottery Barn, Michaels, and others for much less.

For example, some “perfect sized” carvable pumpkins are flying off shelves at the discount retailer for 88% less than Michaels.

An “awesome” hanging bat decoration is nearly sold out at Dollar Tree as well for a price 91% cheaper than competitors.

A $1.25 skeleton garland at Dollar Tree is also nearly identical to an offer from Target but at least 14 times cheaper.

Shelves have also been cleared for Dollar Tree’s viral bathroom product with a “scent so good” and at a price 75% less than Target.
