Tens of thousands of fans are gearing up to watch the Sydney Swans and Brisbane Lions face off in the AFL decider at the MCG on Saturday.
Those who aren’t among the lucky ones to make it to the game are planning ways to make the most of the big day, so how is the weather set to hold up?

The near-nationwide soaking kicked off in northern WA at the weekend and will spread to the eastern states through to Thursday, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
But the grim weather is set to ease up towards the end of the week ahead of the grand final.
Here’s a state-by-state breakdown of what you can expect.
AFL grand final day in your city
Melbourne
A mostly sunny day with a slight chance of a shower, most likely later in the day.
Temperatures will dip to 9C about 4am before hitting 23C by bouncedown.
Expect cooler weather by the time the game wraps up, as temperatures dip to 20C about 7pm and 18C by 10pm.
Northerly winds 20km to 30km/h are expected throughout the day.
Sydney
A shower or two and cloudy with a medium chance of rainfall up to 10mm.
A minimum temperature of 13C will be felt from 4am and throughout the morning, before the temperature climbs to about 21C by game time.
Winds north to northwesterly 15 to 20km/h turning northeasterly 20 to 30km/h during the morning.
Brisbane
Similar to Sydney, a cloudy day with a high chance of showers, bringing up to 10mm of rain.
The temperature is expected to hover at about 17C throughout the early morning, before the mercury jumps to 22C about 1pm.
Expect cooler conditions in the late afternoon, as it drops to 19C about 7pm.
Winds east to southeasterly, 15 to 25km/h are expected.
Adelaide
A mostly sunny morning with a high chance of showers, most likely to bring up to 6mm in the afternoon.
The day will start with a minimum of 13C before climbing to a maximum of 25C about 3.30pm.
Winds northeasterly 15 to 20km/h tending northwest to northeasterly 15 to 25km/h during the morning.
Perth
A partly cloudy day with a slight chance of a shower.
Expect a cooler start to the day of about 13C at 5am before the temperature rises to about 20C by game time.
The temperature will drop to 15C by 8pm.
Winds south to southeasterly 15 to 20km/h turning southwesterly 15 to 25km/h during the morning.
Hobart
Also partly cloudy with a slight chance of a shower later in the day.
The day will start with a minimum of 6C about 4am and hit a maximum of 20C by 1pm before it drops to 13C by 7pm.
Light winds becoming north to northwesterly 15 to 20km/h during the morning.
Darwin
Partly cloudy with a slight chance of a shower.
Expect a warm start to the day with a minimum of 26C at 3.30am before the mercury climbs to a top of 34C by 12.30pm.
It will cool slightly throughout the afternoon, as temperatures drop to 27C by 9.30pm.
Light winds becoming northwest to northeasterly 15 to 25km/h during the day.
