Moms hugging in the stands at a football game? That’s “So High School” – but Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce fans are loving it.
At the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Cincinnati Bengals game in Kansas City on Sunday, September 15, fans had their eyes on 34-year-old Kelce’s suite at Arrowhead stadium. In the past, many devoted Swifties have caught glimpses of, and even interacted with the tight end’s girlfriend there.

The pop icon, also 34, was indeed at the game, and she brought a guest in the form of her mom, Andrea Swift. Zooming in with their phones, fans caught a glimpse of Andrea sharing a sweet hug with Donna Kelce, the mother of her daughter’s boyfriend.
In the 13-second video that was shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), the two moms can be seen sharing a warm embrace after Swift calls her mom over to join her and Donna in conversation. Andrea had already shown her approval of Travis, wearing a button that said “In My 87 Era,” which referenced both Travis’s jersey number and her daughter’s Eras concert tour.
Fans were excited about the sweet interaction, including Star Wars actor Mark Hammill, who commented #ILoveTaylorSwift on the video post. Always quick to chime in with lyrical references, one X user wrote “Our mamas smiled and rolled their eyes,” a reference to the early Swift love ballad “Mary’s Song (Oh my, my, my).”
Swift played “Mary’s Song” during one of her Amsterdam shows as part of a mash-up that Swifties interpreted as a tribute to her boyfriend. The end of the song contains the lyrics “I’ll be 87 you’ll be 89,” which has taken on new significance due to Kelce’s 87 jersey.
Also joining Swift and the Kelces in the suite were Danielle and Este Haim from the band Haim as well as Swift’s brother Austin. The two moms, who could wind up becoming in-laws one day, were the center of attention online. “Mom power!” wrote one such fan.
