Megyn Kelly issued a warning to Donald Trump about Kamala Harris’ potential tactics before the presidential candidates’ Tuesday debate.
Harris “is being coached to avoid being pulled onto Trump’s personal attacks by remaining calm. She and her team are focusing on how to needle Trump and rattle him. It’s going to be less about substance and more about showcasing Harris as a woman who is not scared,” Kelly told RealClearPolitics, according to an NBC News report.
The conservative podcast host joked during the conversation that people seemed to want a female president who is unafraid of the former president. This sparked RealClearPolitics host Carl Cannon to mention that Kelly is a woman who is not afraid of Trump, which led Cannon to question whether that makes her qualified to be president.
Kelly suggested that Harris could portray herself as a victim during the debate against Trump by using her gender.
“Trump has to be careful,” Kelly said. “He can’t do anything aggressive even though she’ll be aggressive against him.”
