The Houston Texans became one of the biggest surprises in 2023. Rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud took command of the team in a special way, helping lead them right to the playoffs.
Stroud wasn’t the only surprise as Will Anderson Jr. also netted Defensive Rookie of the Year honors off a seven-sack season. The offense and defense melded in a way that the rest of the AFC was not ready for.
Now, in 2024, the Texans are hoping to make even more noise in the AFC. Sadly, they will have to do so without tight end Dalton Keene.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, “Sources: #Texans TE Dalton Keene suffered a torn ACL on Saturday vs the #Giants and will miss the entire 2024 NFL season. A brutal blow for the former 3rd-round pick out of Virginia Tech.”
Dalton Keene will not suit up for the 2024 regular season, as he tore his ACL during the Texans’ preseason game against the New York Giants.
