Noah Lyles was diagnosed with COVID-19 prior to running in the men’s 200-meter final on Thursday at the Paris 2024 Olympics, according to multiple reports.
Lyles finished third, running behind Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo and fellow American Kenny Bednarek, in 19.70 seconds.
Immediately after the race, Lyles was seen leaving the floor of Stade de France in a wheelchair and, later, wearing a face mask.
