Kim Kardashian has found a way to turn an unfortunate injury into a fashionable statement.
The 44-year-old reality star recently shared a photo of her fractured foot wrapped in a unique, off-white, gauze-covered “shoe” on her Instagram Story and X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, December 17.
The custom footwear, which resembled a wedged bootie, sparked a wave of admiration from fans on X, with many commenting that it’s bound to set a new trend.

“Always a head of your time in the fashion world. This goes harddddd,” one fan said. Another said, “Broken foot, but make it fashion!!!!” along with a gif of Kardashian pointing and nodding her head in agreement. “when you break your ankle but still wanna go out 💁♀️,” a third fan said.
Others wished the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum a speedy recovery. “Feel better! You seem like you over do it!” one concerned fan noted. Another cautioned, “Now that the store opening is over stay home and heal.”
Kim revealed her foot injury – though left out specifics – earlier this month when she posted a picture of herself in a medical boot. Captioning the image with “FML 🤬Broken foot for the holidays.” The SKIMS founder also added the song “Clumsy” by Fergie to the post.
The influencer was seen using a knee scooter to get around at the grand opening of her SKIMS flagship store in New York City. At the event, she revealed that her family would be having a low key Christmas together this year and forgoing their usual lavish Christmas Eve bash. In the interview with Vogue, Kim revealed why the change of plans.
“There’s a lot of construction going on, so we’re doing a really family intimate one that I’m really excited about,” she elaborated.
The Kardashian-Jenner clan is known for their extravagant (and expensive) Christmas Eve parties which have now been hosted by multiple members of the family. Originally hosted by Kris Jenner at her home, last year, Kim took a turn hosting at her mansion, which was transformed into a stunning winter wonderland, featuring artificial snow and a ski lodge. In 2022, Kourtney Kardashian’s party featured a performance by Sia.
