A BELOVED western-themed restaurant is making a long-anticipated comeback to a major US state after more than four decades.
Roy Rogers announced a new location in New Jersey, marking its official return to the area after “overwhelming” fan pleas.
Set to open in spring 2025, the Cherry Hill branch will be located on bustling Haddonfield Road, a prime spot just ten minutes from Center City Philadelphia.
The new location promises to cater to communities, neighborhoods, businesses, and schools, being the only burger drive-thru on the busy thoroughfare.
“We could not be happier to bring our USDA choice top round roast beef, juicy burgers, and fresh, hand-breaded fried chicken back to Cherry Hill,” said Jim Plamondon, co-president of Roy Rogers Restaurants.
“Roy’s legacy fans will be thrilled to see the iconic Fixin’s Bar® and use our signature sauces to customize their favorite sandwiches and tenders.
“New guests will be pleased with our diverse menu and quality you can’t find anywhere else.
“This is just the beginning of our journey back into the hearts—and appetites—of this community.”
The 3,300-square-foot restaurant will feature a modern design that still retains the chain’s signature wood and black iron accents.
The warm and welcoming aesthetic will be complemented by cutting-edge technology, including digital drive-thru menu boards, ordering kiosks, and electronic menu boards to enhance customer convenience.
Joe Briglia, Director of Real Estate and Franchise Development, emphasized the strong fan demand for the brand’s return to the area.
He said: “We’ve received an overwhelming number of requests from loyal Roy Rogers fans for a location in this area, and we’re delighted to make it a reality.
“We plan to build on this success and expand even further in the market.”
Roy Rogers is beloved for its “big three” – beef, burgers, and chicken.
A signature element of the dining experience, the Fixin’s Bar®, will also make its return, offering fresh toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles for customers to customize their meals.
Whether dining in, using the drive-thru, or opting for pick-up or delivery, fans will enjoy a slice of nostalgia paired with modern convenience.
It comes after KitKat made its first-ever “seasonal” switch in 89 years.
“This season, let’s all take a break from tradition with KitKat Santas,” the company said.
Swapping out the traditional KitKat fingers, Hershey has subbed in a more festive shape.
“Santa Claus deserves a break, and thanks to KitKat, he’s getting one this year with the launch of its first-ever seasonal shape – KitKat Santas,” the snack empire wrote in a press release.
The Christmas candy is available for a limited period of time in the lead up the holiday season.
Each Santa is “adorned with imprinted boots, a jolly smile and an even crispier wafer-to-chocolate ratio than a traditional KitKat bar.”
KitKat Santas are currently available at nationwide retailers in 8.85 ounce snack size bags.
Whether you’re in the market for a well-deserved treat during the hectic holiday planning or a stocking filler, these Santas may be worth a try.
