Apparently, Scherzinger’s comment vanished within a day, following negative reactions from Instagram users. But the internet never forgets – a screenshot of her comment found its way to X.
Adam Feldman, Time Out New York’s theater editor and critic, shared the screenshot on X, quipping: “Well the Best Actress Tony race just got a little less competitive.” He added, “It’s hard to think of a worse look for a Broadway leading lady than appearing to simultaneously support Donald Trump, Christian hegemony and Russell Brand.”
Another user chimed in: “How to lose a Tony in under 30 characters,” likely referring to Scherzinger’s praised performance in Broadway’s Sunset Blvd. revival, for which she bagged a Laurence Olivier Award in London.
It’s worth noting that Scherzinger hasn’t publicly backed any candidate in the recent presidential race.
