Armie Hammer launches The Armie HammerTime Podcast, admits “some of you are going to f—ing hate it”

Armie Hammer, the former Hollywood star whose career crumbled amid #MeToo allegations, is making a comeback with a new podcast.

“Some of you are going to love this and some of you are going to fucking hate it,” says Hammer, 38, on Instagram, walking along Venice Beach — acknowledging the mixed reactions his scandals have sparked.

The podcast — The Armie HammerTime Podcast — will feature rotating guests who “know one thing that you don’t.” Hammer plans to have in-depth chats where they “teach me what that thing is.”

More intriguingly, the podcast seems set to be a personal diary, offering a window into Hammer’s thoughts during one of Hollywood’s most dramatic falls from grace.

“I’ve been gone for the last four years and now I’m back. What are you gonna do? So it’s going to be a sort of journal, or a chronicling, of putting my life back together,” Hammer hinted.

The great-grandson of oil tycoon Armand Hammer, Armie began acting by playing the Winklevoss twins in 2010’s The Social Network.

His troubles started in early 2021 when explicit text messages with various women leaked online. Hammer was married to Elizabeth Chambers then; they divorced in 2023.

Hammer’s ex-girlfriend, Efrosina Angelo, accused him of rape in 2017. Two other women later claimed he emotionally abused them so badly they needed PTSD treatment. One said he talked about wanting to cook and eat her rib.

Hammer maintains the relationships were consensual BDSM arrangements but admitted to being emotionally abusive.

After investigating, LA prosecutors decided not to charge Hammer in 2023, citing a lack of evidence.

In the first episode, Hammer’s guest is actor Tom Arnold. The two of them “discuss personal growth, the journey to sobriety, and the importance of confronting past traumas,” according to the episode’s description.

“They share stories of their experiences with addiction, rehabilitation, and the impact of their childhoods on their current lives.” Their conversation also “touches on the effects of fame on relationships and the journey of rebuilding a career after setbacks, emphasizing the significance of friendship and loyalty during crises.”

Indeed, the Call Me By Your Name actor recently shared why he is no longer fazed by the years-long rumors that he is a cannibal.

“I’m not gonna lie,” Hammer told guest Tom Arnold in the debut episode of his podcast. “I’m just like, ‘Hey, I’m a cannibal.’ What makes more noise? ‘Armie Hammer is a cannibal’ or ‘Armie Hammer might not be a cannibal.’”

Hammer explained that he appreciated the rumors—which started circulating back in 2021—because it forced him to take accountability for his actions.

“The cannibal thing makes more noise,” he added. “You don’t get an apology tour in this world. Someone says something about you, everyone believes it—and then they move on with their lives to whatever it is that they’re focused on. ‘Cause they’ve got their own lives.”
