Demi Moore Shares Update on Bruce Willis Amid Battle With Dementia

Demi Moore is keeping a positive outlook on her ex-husband Bruce Willis’ condition.

Demi, 61, opened up about the Die Hard star’s battle with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia years after he was initially diagnosed.

“You know, I’ve said this before. The disease is what the disease is,” the A Few Good Men actress said on Oct. 13 while speaking with a crowd at the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival per People. “And I think you have to be in real deep acceptance of what that is. But for where he’s at, he is stable.”

Demi, who shares Rumer Willis, 36, Scout Willis, 33, and Tallulah Willis, 30, with her ex, repeated her advice to her and Bruce’s daughters, saying, “What I always encourage is to just meet them where they’re at. When you’re holding on to what was, I think it’s a losing game. But when you show up to meet them where they’re at, there is great beauty and sweetness.”

And despite her split from Bruce, 67, in 2000, Demi noted that she still gets plenty of quality time with her ex, who remarried Emma Heming Willis in 2009. After all, the blended Willis family, which also includes Bruce and Emma’s daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, have shared plenty of glimpses into their sweet bond over the years.
