The Chiefs dominated the Saints in the contest and improved to an NFL-best 5-0 record.

After the effort, Cowherd appeared on his FS1 show The Herd with Colin Cowherd and gave his thoughts on the primetime victory.

Cowherd shared that he believes that while other teams seem to be affected by unfortunate circumstances, the Chiefs seem to never be phased by obstacles.

He brought up that Kansas City has dealt with injuries, including a season-ending one to wide receiver Rashee Rice in Week 4 and a multi-week one to running back Isiah Pacheco in Week 2, and still have found ways to win.

“They just make everything work. Circumstances don’t matter. All these other teams in the NFL use excuses. … I don’t want to hear it,” Cowherd said.

The 60-year-old also mentioned that Kansas City still beat New Orleans despite Mahomes throwing an interception in the endzone and kicker Harrison Butker missing a 52-yard field goal in the third quarter.

“Everybody in this league is fighting for second place,” Cowherd said.

“Here what’s terrifying: Kansas City is 5-0. Mahomes is 19th in passer rating.”

Cowherd finished his rant by calling the Chiefs’ win a “Monday Night Football flex” due to their unique playcalling throughout the game, including a lateral play from star tight end Travis Kelce.

NFL fans were in agreement with Cowherd’s argument on social media.
