NRL legend Gorden Tallis was caught sporting a cheeky new look at Sunday’s grand final, as he stole the limelight with a special friend.
While Australian pop sensation The Kid LAROI captivated the crowd as the pre-match entertainment, it was a familiar white bear that stole the show at half-time.

Tallis appeared on the big screen arm-in-arm with Bundaberg Rum’s Bundy R Bear, as the seven-foot mascot graced the screens for the first time in 15 years.
The former Broncos captain and the polar bear had the crowd in stitches as they shared the story of Tallis’ new polar-white do.
The tale of their mischief was revealed on screen, as punters discovered Tallis’ voluminous “hair transplant” was not from a trip to Turkey as he claimed, but was taken from none other than the back of a unsuspecting Bundy.
Sporting his luscious white locks, the Raging Bull waved to fans as punters across the stadium donned their own white wigs and cheered on for their chance to win a cash prize.
The stitch-up came before the Penrith Panthers completed an historic four-peat premiership, celebrating a 14-6 victory over Melbourne Storm.
Bundy described the mischief as “the perfect stitch-up” to “shake off these serious times”.
“When the Raging Bull, Gorden Tallis, gives you a bell and invites you to the big dance, how could you say no,” Bundy said.
“Especially when he has a fresh haircut that makes him look a little more like me.”
Diageo rum marketing manager Matt Miles said Bundy’s appearance reminded everyone to appreciate the sillier things in life.
“Our Bundy Bear has been making Aussies laugh for years, so bringing him back to lift spirits and dish out some classic stitch-ups was the perfect move,” Miles said.
“Teaming up with Gorden Tallis and the NRL, we gave spectators at this year’s final a much-needed laugh.”
